Ready, Player One? Thank you to all the wealth managers and industry professionals who pressed Start and helped us achieve a legendary high score at FactRight's Annual Due Diligence Conference. If you missed this round, don’t worry—there’s another chance to play!
Here are some highlights from our epic quest:
- Over 200 wealth managers embarked on the ultimate co-op mission at The Grand America Hotel in Salt Lake City, where FactRight’s co-president and one of the Super Diligence Bros, Russell Putnam, welcomed everyone with an update straight from the FactRight Arcade Leaderboard. He shared details about our web-based report center—a power-up for accessing all of FactRight’s due diligence reports across structures and strategies like DSTs, QOZs, REITs, Oil & Gas, Interval Funds, and more. If you’re looking for cheat codes (a.k.a. valuable research and analysis) on the presenting sponsors featured at the conference, head to the FactRight Report Center.
- Next, FactRight co-president and other half of the Super Diligence Bros, Jake Heidkamp, provided an update on market conditions, which helped us clear the next level into the presentations that followed. Want regular updates on major events for alternative programs and other industry news? Subscribe to Jake’s Weekly Updates and keep your inbox stocked with extra lives.
- The 28 sponsor presentations, 49 exhibit sponsors and 9 amenity sponsors brought their A-game, sharing strategies and insights that helped make the conference both informative and engaging.
- Huge thanks to our panel participants who shared their wisdom like seasoned final-boss fighters. Panel participants Aaron Wessner with Cantor Fitzgerald Investment Management, Nick Rosenthal with Griffin Capital, Mike Haven with U.S. Energy, and Jon Grady with ADISA brought their A-game and provided valuable insights on the current QOZ landscape. Additionally, panelists Paul Drury with CNL Financial Group, Josh Sonneland with Tide Rock, and Aaron Rosen with FL Putnam Investment Management Company powered up the discussion on the private equity sector.
- Monday night’s Cocktail Reception featured a local beer tasting sponsored by Driftwood Capital.
- Vistra Fund Solutions sponsored Tuesday night’s Cocktail Reception, along with the after-hours celebration at Quarter Arcade Bar Downtown—a perfect throwback to the golden age of gaming. From The Simpsons marathons to NBA Jam showdowns, the night was full of high scores and nostalgia. Special mention to Houston for racking up an epic Skee-Ball score of 72,000—that’s what we call a leaderboard moment! (I remain disappointed that Zoltar did not grant my wish to be 3 inches taller.)
- Extra gratitude goes to Brookfield Oaktree Wealth Solutions for the coffee bar (our energy potion), Stockbridge for the late-night snack box (perfect for health regeneration), and American Alternative Capital for the hotel key cards (our save points for the week). Pravati Capital kept us powered up with charging stations, and Arden Group ensured our Wi-Fi—our ultimate connectivity power-up—never ran out.
